A Great Weekend!

Last weekend began on Friday with a fantastic day with my family.  The Joneses and my dad drove down to spend the day in Snoqualmie at A Day Out with Thomas.  It was SO much fun watching my niece and nephews have such a great time.  It's amazing to think that next year we'll have a little one that can join his/her cousins for this fun day out!

We started out with the train ride.

Then it was off to see Thomas!

Jacked was mesmerized by the steam engines.

Then it was off to do some Thomas stamping.

Jack quickly found the train tables.  Luckily there were plenty of trains to go around because he did a little hoarding!

While Jack continued playing with the trains Emily got a Thomas tattoo.

As everyone began to get tired and hungry we decided to get some fun balloons and then head back to our house for lunch.  Emily chose a pink sword and Jack chose a flower with a ladybug on top!  I love that they each have their own unique personalities!

I had no idea there were so many great activities for the kids to participate in besides the train ride.  This was definitely worth the money and was a very fun day!

Friday afternoon we headed over to Zillah for the 3rd annual Allan Family Reunion.  Zach grew up with Ty and his family, and although we are not family, we are always treated like family at this reunion.  We always have such a great time with these fun peeps.  Sadly, I left my camera sitting by the front door this year. :o(  You'll just have to take my word for it that we had a great time and ate great food!

Sunday when we arrived home our glider chair for the nursery was waiting for us.  We have been researching and looking for a glider chair for the nursery for several months.  It's been agonizing trying to decided on a chair, reading reviews, deciding how much to spend, etc., etc.  We finally decided on a chair I found at Target.com.  I was VERY nervous about ordering a chair online that we hadn't been able to sit in, let alone one from Target.  I've had such an ordeal with them dealing with my registry and returning duplicate items.  However, after reading almost all 55 reviews we went ahead and ordered the chair.  I'm SO happy to say that we LOVE it!  It finally feels like the nursery is all put together and ready for little Baby M!

Zach did all of the assembly while I read the directions.  He's so amazing; he put together all of the furniture in our nursery!  Our nursery is finally complete and we LOVE it!!

9 Months - 36 Weeks

Oh where, oh where has the last nine months gone?!  It's surreal to think that in just a few short weeks our little baby will be here.

This last month has been wonderful.  I've stopped getting sick for the most part, and am feeling relatively good.  Simple tasks are more difficult: putting shoes on, walking, bending over to pick something up, getting comfortable to get some sleep in, but overall I feel good and the baby is very active.  The baby is head down and in a good birthing position which makes me feel good.  I was able to see him/her during a quick ultrasound last week at my doctor's appointment.  I've began feeling either the baby's head or hands down in my lower abdomen.  It's more of a strong fluttering feeling, not like the strong kicks I'm used to feeling in my ribs.  Zach was also able to feel it last night which is always fun and amazing for him.  We're SO excited to meet this little one!

Everyone keeps telling me how small I am for 36 weeks, but this belly doesn't look or feel very small to me!

Fourth of July

This Fourth of July we decided to just stay home and relax; it was perfect!  We hung out around the house, cleaning and organizing all day.  Around 8:30 we ventured out into the neighborhood (Zach in his red, white, and blue PBR onesie) with our lawn chairs and a very small bag of fireworks.  I just couldn't bring myself to spend a bunch of money on fireworks this year; I'd rather spend it on the baby.  We had a great time watching the neighborhood kids (big and small) light off their fireworks.  It reminded me of our old neighborhood.  Everyone would come out with their chairs, light off their fireworks, and cheer each other on.  It was a great time!

Backyard BBQ Baby Shower

Last Saturday, June 25 we had a great time celebrating the anticipated arrival of little Baby M with family and friends.  My sister created a beautiful tablescape.  She made us a table cloth, banner, diaper cake, and labeled bubbles for the kids.  She also designed our invitations and cute labels for the water bottles.  My mom and I made and decorated cake pops for dessert.  It was all so perfect!

My mom pushed Charlie around in the stroller until he fell asleep...

Emily is VERY excited for her new little cousin.  She needed to give Baby M a little kiss. I don't think there is anything more precious!
