Seven Months

Where has the time gone?!  As I posted yesterday, this last month has been a month of changes (teeth, food, moving, and the list goes on...).  She doesn't seem so much like a little baby anymore.  She's moving into becoming such a little person.  She LOVES to eat.  I began making her food this last month.  So far she's had apples, pears, bananas, watermelon, avocados, sweet potatoes, squash and peas.  I put cinnamon in this last batch of apples and she absolutely devoured them.  She smacks her lips when she eats them.  Her favorites seem to be sweet potatoes and apples with cinnamon.  We're waiting for her to begin crawling any day now.  She loves to play on her tummy on the floor.  We have to keep a close eye on her as she "inch worms" quickly across the floor.  She also loves her jumper and her entertainer.  She plays and plays in both of them.

One of the things that melts my heart everyday is her personality.  She's got a lot of it!!  She makes faces, laughs and smiles all the time, and lets you know if she's done with something.  She's got quite the voice and lets it be heard! She also began growling/roaring at us this last month after spending almost two weeks with her cousin Charlie.  It's absolutely hilarious.

One of my favorite times of day is when her daddy comes home from work.  She usually hears his voice first and begins looking around for him.  Once she spots him, she immediately smiles from ear to ear and doesn't stop.  It's absolutely precious!!  She brings continuous joy to our lives everyday.

The first few weeks of February...

Oh where oh where has February gone?!  It seems as if it was just the beginning of the month and now it's almost over.  I know I already blogged about some of this, but want to re-cap.  February was a month of changes for our family...

We lost our precious pooch...

Olivia began eating food and quickly discovered that she LOVES all food...

She cut her first teeth.  First the bottom two and now the top two are coming in!  She's a busy girl...

She began sitting up without support...

She began trying to crawl.  We're still not quite there yet...

We also had plenty of cousin time this month.  First the Joneses came down our way after Charlie's check up appointment at Children's in Bellevue.  We ate breakfast at the Raging River and then headed to our house for an afternoon of playing in the back yard...

Olivia also had lots of fun playing with Daddy...

She attended her first Ash Wednesday Mass and received ashes in the sign of the cross on her forehead.  She thought it was hilarious and started laughing when the priest marked her forehead...

We also spent 13 days up in Mount Vernon hanging out with the Joneses, Grandma Emily, and Grandpa Jim and Grandma Patti while Bryan was in New York and Daddy stayed home remodeling the house.  AND had a 6 month photo shoot with our favorite photographers... the SNAPsisters!  (Those pictures will all be coming soon...)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day Daddy!  We miss you and are so thankful you are such a wonderful daddy and husband!  We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you!  See you soon!

Zach is adding on a new bathroom in our house this week, and Bryan is in New York, so Olivia and I headed up to Mount Vernon to spend time with the people we love most...

Auntie Anne, Emily, Jack, and Charlie made Olivia a special Valentine's day bag filled with all sorts of goodies...

Auntie Anne also made heart-shaped donuts and heart-shaped cookies.  They were delicious...

Buster's last days...

Over the last couple of days Buster took a turn for the worst and Zach and I both knew it was time.  His breathing became extremely labored and we could tell he was in pain, something we promised ourselves we wouldn't let happen.  I'm at a loss for words... he was a part of our family.  Olivia LOVES him and would smile from ear to ear whenever he entered the room, and laugh and laugh as he dropped his ball or toy for her to throw nudging it closer and closer so she would see it to throw it for him.  He just couldn't figure out why she would never throw it.  We love him and miss him so much already but know he is at peace.  I snapped a few last pictures of him and a video of him and Olivia.  He spent his last few hours doing what he loved most... playing ball.  If he could talk I think he would have said that was how he wanted to go...
