Happy Birthday Zach!

Last week Zach celebrated his birthday four times!  We started on Wednesday, the day before his birthday celebrating with his family.

Thursday morning I got a quick birthday picture of him before he left for work.

When he came home Mary had filled the hallway and bathroom full of balloons.

Instead of going out for dinner he wanted one of his favorites: spicy hotlinks, potatoes, and sauteed mushrooms.  After dinner he opened presents and relaxed for the rest of the evening.

I really didn't know what to get Zach since every time he needs something he buys it.  I decided on a bathrobe embroidered with an M on it.  He is always stealing my bathrobe and I have to admit this one looks much better on him!

Friday evening we celebrated at my mom's house.  We had another one of his favorites: cheese pizza and cheesecake for dessert.  Emily and Jack were happy to help Uncle Zach blow out his candles.

Instead of cheesecake and pizza, I found something else that sounded good... bananas dipped in chocolate sauce.  This really made me feel pregnant!  I've never eaten anything like this before, and it was DELICIOUS!

Finally, late Friday night we picked up the RV from Camping World.  Zach had enjoyed a couple of birthday drinks with Bryan so I towed the trailer for the first time.  It was definitely a learning experience and a little scary. It's an additional 31 feet behind the Expedition!  It was dark and we were on the back country roads in Burlington/Bay View.   I just took my time and listened to every piece of advice Zach gave me.  He's such a good coach!  We made it safely to my Dad and Patti's, which has become one of our new favorite camping spots, and Zach was greeted with more birthday wishes and gifts.   It was a great beginning to a fun Easter weekend with family and friends!

6 Months

I can't believe I'm already six months!  I remember thinking when I first found out that I was pregnant that ten months seemed so long and August seemed so far away.  Now I can't believe that I have a little under four months left, and August seems to be just around the corner.

Projects

Zach has been VERY busy over the last couple of months.  He remodeled the bathroom, relocated the garden and turned it into a raised bed garden, built a mini barn shed, a shed for the lawn mower and other gas equipment, and a dog house.  He also began tidying up the back yard getting ready for spring and summer.  Soon after we had a couple of sunny days.  We were quick to set up the hammock and begin barbecuing, soaking up the sun.

Zach has such a great eye for decorating.  While I was visiting my family over mid-winter break, he remodeled the bathroom.

The mini barn shed took a few weeks, but it turned out great!  We are so fortunate to have wonderful neighbors like Jose, who is always up for helping out on whatever project we have going on.  Zach also hired a couple of guys to help out with the building process as well.

We caught a double rainbow on one of the sunny days.  It was so bright and absolutely amazing!

Zach even build a boarder around the garden and planted flowers in it to decorate it.

The dog house still needs to be finished but it's off to a great start!

The shed for the lawn mower, generator, pressure washer, and other "gas" equipment.

When the sun came out, I started planting in the various pots around the yard.  It was so nice to see Mr. Sun, as my niece Emily would say.

The dogs also joined us enjoying and relaxing in the sun.

Since I started the blog, Zach thinks I'm like the paparazzi.  He decided to send me a message with his shirt. Ha, ha, ha!
